Product Design, Mechatronics and Environment
Product Design, Mechatronics and Environment was formed as a department by bringing together the staff of the Product Design and Robotics, Chemistry and Environment, and Fine Mechanics and Mechatronics Departments, in 2011.
The activity within this Department is based on the design, development and implementation of high-tech products, in the context of sustainable development as a common priority, in which the 49 academics’ combined complementary resources lead to a significant qualitative increase.
From the point of view of the didactic activity, the Product Design, Mechatronics and Environment Department coordinates nine bachelor’s degree programmes and two master's degree programmes. Within this department, the doctoral studies coordinated by 21 doctoral supervisors come under four accredited fields (according to the MENCS Order no. 5382/2016): Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Engineering and Management.
